  • Third-party services: WizeIP™ may engage trusted third-party service providers that use cookies and similar technologies on our behalf. These providers assist us in analysing data, optimising website performance, and delivering personalised content.

By using WizeIP™ Services, you consent to the use of cookies and other identifiers as described in this section. You can find more details about the types of cookies we use and how we handle your information in our dedicated Cookie Policy.

5. Does WizeIP™ Disclose Your Personal Information?

The privacy of our customers' information is a significant aspect of our business, and we do not engage in selling our customers' personal information to third parties. WizeIP™ only shares customers' personal information as outlined below, within WizeIP™ and its controlled subsidiaries. These entities either adhere to this Privacy Notice or maintain practices that offer protection equal to or greater than those described in this Privacy Notice.

  • Involvement of Third Parties in Transactions: We provide you with access to services, products, applications, or skills offered by third parties for use on or through WizeIP™ Services. For instance, you can purchase products from third-party vendors through our stores, download applications from third-party application providers via our Store, and enable third-party skills through our services. Additionally, we collaborate with third-party businesses to offer joint services or sell product lines, such as co-branded credit cards. When a transaction involves a third party, it will be evident, and we may share customer personal information pertaining to those transactions with the respective third party.
  • Involvement of Third-Party Service Providers: We engage the services of other companies and individuals to carry out various functions on our behalf. These functions include order fulfilment, package delivery, sending postal mail and email communications, removing redundant information from customer lists, data analysis, marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), payment processing, content transmission, credit risk assessment, and customer service. Our third-party service providers are granted access to personal information solely for the purpose of performing their designated functions and are prohibited from using it for any other purposes. Furthermore, they are obligated to process personal information per this Privacy Notice and comply with applicable data protection laws.
  • Business transfers: As we evolve and expand our business, there may arise situations where we acquire or sell other businesses or services. During such transactions, customer information is typically considered a transferred business asset. However, it remains bound by the commitments outlined in any pre-existing Privacy Notice, unless the customer provides consent for other arrangements. In the unlikely scenario where WizeIP™. or a significant portion of its assets is acquired, customer information would naturally be included as part of the transferred assets.
  • Safeguarding WizeIP™ Europe and Others: We disclose account and other personal information when we deem it necessary to comply with the law, enforce our Conditions of Use and other agreements, or safeguard the rights, property, or safety of WizeIP™ Europe, our users, or others. Such disclosures may involve sharing information with other companies and organisations to prevent fraud and reduce credit risk.
  • Except as mentioned previously, we will notify you in advance if your personal information is to be shared with third parties, and you will have the option to decide whether or not to share such information.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area and the UK: In cases where we need to transfer personal information to countries outside the European Economic Area or the UK, we take necessary measures to ensure that such transfers adhere to this Privacy Notice and comply with relevant data protection laws. Our approach involves relying on European Commission adequacy decisions or implementing contracts that incorporate standard safeguards published by the European Commission (you may request a copy of these from our Customer Service). We also employ similar measures under UK laws to safeguard such transfers.

Disclosure of your information:

We may disclose your personal information to members of our company, which means our parent company, its subsidiaries and colleagues where appropriate.

6. How Secure is my Personal Information?

We prioritise the security and privacy of your personal information in our system design.

  • To ensure secure transmission, we employ encryption protocols and software.
  • When handling credit card data, we adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
  • To safeguard the collection, storage, and disclosure of personal customer information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards. As part of our security procedures, we may request identity verification before disclosing personal information to you.
  • Our devices incorporate security features to protect against unauthorised access and data loss. You have control over these features and can configure them according to your preferences. For detailed instructions on managing your device's security settings, please refer to this link.
  • It is essential to guard against unauthorised access to your password, computers, devices, and applications. We recommend using a unique password for your WizeIP™ account, separate from those used for other online accounts. Remember to sign off when you finish using a shared computer. For instructions on how to sign off, click here.

Where we store your personal data

We may transfer and store the data we collect from you outside the European Union ("EU"). It may also be processed by our staff or our suppliers' staff who operate outside the EU. These individuals may be involved in fulfilling your orders, processing payment details, and providing support services. By providing your personal data, you consent to this transfer, storage, or processing. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data is securely treated and in compliance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our servers (as described in the "Information we may collect from you" section above). Any payment transactions are encrypted using SSL technology and processed by a trusted external payment processor, such as Secure Trading Limited. It is important that you keep your password confidential if you have been given or chosen one to access certain parts of our site. Please refrain from sharing your password with anyone.

While we strive to protect your personal data to the best of our ability, please note that transmitting information over the internet is not entirely secure. Any transmission of data to our site is done at your own risk. Once we receive your information, we implement strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.
